Well as you can see from my name i am Padme4000 i actually have a fanfiction.net account i just posted my fics on the other but i don't use it all there is no freedom in search and it gets annoying searching for stories unlike fanfiction.net and its hardly used in some cases its pointless.

I didn't look for you because you only had three stories.

But here's the real question: Why post on FanLib?

no reason really it was quick and i started on a rubbish fanfiction place until i found out about fanfiction.net so i want to give others something to read that they find.

*nods* Mmm. I checked out your profile. It looks like you are new enough you might not know about most of the places where people post their stories yet. You seem to write Gen crossovers in the SGA fandom.

Wraithbait (http://www.wraithbait.com) is the main SGA archive. Unlike the multifandom ff.net it's not a warehouse, so your stories aren't lost in the mix.

Then [livejournal.com profile] miera_c runs the niche for the SGA Gen and Het community [livejournal.com profile] lostcityfound. Be sure to read the rules (of course) first. They require all stories be beta read, etc., etc. Various Het pairings have their own communities (there's a big one for John/Elizabeth for example).

Now have you posted links to your SGA stories to [livejournal.com profile] sga_noticeboard? When you post an announcement there, you'll get linked in the daily [livejournal.com profile] sga_newsletter. Without that people don't know your story exists.

I recommend using a lifejournal cut-tag and then posting your story in your livejournal, then posting the link to [livejournal.com profile] sga_noticeboard. That way people logged in to LJ can comment.

A good way to build a readership is to participate in the [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic challenges. A lot of people will give a new writer a chance if they like the challenge.

Oh. Check out the Flashfic's current challenge (http://community.livejournal.com/sga_flashfic/568775.html?mode=reply). Back stories? Who can resist that?

A lot of recs get picked up from the Flashfic challenges. I know the popular story recommender [livejournal.com profile] thefourthvine reads there regularly. When TFV recommended a story of mine, people came out of the woodwork.
