Exactly. And companies know that, and count on it, including FanLib. They've been saying in the FAQ and elsewhere that there's no problem with copyright, they have Partners: in comparison, the cold stark legal cover-their-assness of the TOS makes the danger more clear. And this time it matters, this time people could get burned, so the fannish fuss is worthwhile.

Also: have you seen their PDF marketing brochure? Not exactly all about what they can do for fandom...
