If you've seen anything funny that I've missed, please link it in the comments. One of fandom's traditional ways of coping with idiots is to laugh at them and it's good to see we're managing it now. :)

FanLib: Actually has standards?
(Anonymous) 2007-05-22 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)Okay, looks like FanLib may have actually blocked a story. The story was Pink Guy, Blue Guy fic, totally for all ages, and PARODY. Even marked as such. However I'm being told that the fic has been blocked by a moderator.
Apparently FanLib is okay with using other people's IP, just not using THEIRS.

And also: To not go near FanLib at all, or to make an account only to troll horribly, that is the question... (It surprises me how internet etiquette breaks down here. I have considered things like mass e-mailings of the authors on the site and troll attacks that I, as a Good Member of Fandom, wouldn't even dream of doing normally - just because I think the possible danger of this website overrides netiquette. I am willing to do a helluva lot to make it gone.)

"No, no, stop it..." Blue Dude hissed as Pink Guy licked a stripe up his neck (making a mental note to remind Blue Dude to shower more often).
"Stop it? Why?" Pink Guy looked at him in puzzlement. "But this is so right, can't you feel it? We're bonded..."
"We can't!" Blue Dude shouted desperately as he fought not to succumb to Pink Guy's sexy wiles. "We're... we're brothers."
Pink Guy's eyes widened in surprise. "Brothers? But that's not possible! We don't look alike at all!"
"It's true." Blue Dude sniffed. "They... the actor for the photographs... same actor... steroids... it's a long and sordid tale but it's true. We're brothers. Our love is tragic and doomed." A single emo tear moseyed down his cheek.
"Don't cry, my little uke," Pink Guy said consolingly. "I happen to know that that tale was a falsehood perpetrated by the ad campaign for MuscleMan: How To Build Up Your Body In Just Six Weeks. In truth, we aren't related at all."
"Really?" Blue Dude asked, joy dawning in his eyes like a particularly horrible cliche. "You're certain?"
"Yes I am," Pink Guy said happily. "And besides, FanLib claims to be open to fanfics of all genres, so incest not a problem!"
"Oh, in that case," Blue Dude said and ripped his clothes off.
And they had hot sexx0rz all night (with Pink Guy topping!) until a mob of angry fanfic writers came and killed them both.
The End.

...all right, I should not post fanfic when sleep deprived. I think I killed my brain.

Pink guy/ Blue dude, brought together by tragic marketing, together forever thanks to the rescuing arms of slashers. In the safe, non-judgemental arms of fandom, Blue dude learns to embrace his love of pie-baking and gingham curtains whilst falling madly in love with Pink guy.
Their love is so epic.
I've done 2 pink/blues
