*It appears some stories have been rerated adult.

On another note, I'm so releaved to see the 4400 get a story, I've felt kind of dumb for putting it on the list a few weeks back because I thought it's upcoming (a few days from now) season premier would attract lots of fic'ing. Now I feel like screaming "go little fandom! write!"

It also appears to me that FFN's Harry Potter section will top 300,000 either tomorrow or the next day. Should we through them a party?

4400 is kind of a... cultish show?

There's not much fic for it anywhere.

Hi, I love these statistics, just been wondering, with all the funny business starting around this Star Trek contest (see previous post in this community) it maybe could be interesting to follow the Star Trek numbers too?

Problem: Fanlib acknowledges 8 categories of Trek.

Star Trek (6)
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (2)
Star Trek: Enterprise (55)
Star Trek: KVP (0)
Star Trek: New Frontier (1)
Star Trek: The Next Generation (26)
Star Trek: The Original Series (46)
Star Trek: Voyager (52)
Total: 188

Compare to numbers on 5/26/06:
Star Trek (6)
Star Trek: Enterprise (90)
Star Trek: The Next Generation (19)
Star Trek: The Original Series (37)
Star Trek: Voyager (48)
Total: 200

It's possible that DS9 & Frontier had listings I didn't notice before; I only captured the first two pages of fandoms. I would assume those are actually unchanged.

Argh. I really appreciate you keeping track of these numbers. I must say, though, I cringe a little everytime FanLib's stats go up (especially when it's my home fandom, LotR). I should take solace in the fact that the huge upswing in story growth that any new archive should expect is not happening here, but even the trickle makes me a little bit sad.

I agree, but it's mostly the same writers adding stories.

This is true, and something to keep in mind. It's disheartening, but I suppose not as much as it would be if more people were flocking to FL.

See, when I posted the FanLib summary it was at a little over 285,000 stories. I looked a few weeks later and it was at 290,000+. I'd thought I was so off the first time. Guess I just didn't realize how quickly that fandom grew.

I predict a mushroom cloud of fix-it stories after the Potterdamerung. Then... a gradual tapering off, unless someone manages to convince JKR to something else related to the series (so unlikely, especially if she kills Harry).

If she does something dreadful to my beloved Percy I'll return to my old fandom to write a few fics. ;)
